Oh so pleased to see you writing in this fandom, I just caught up on the tumblr prompt 'verb me' series you did on a03. Enjoyed both that one and this.

Thanks! Thorin is remarkably fun to play off of that way.

Yes good, best movie!bros, I approve of this. Also makes me think of Thorin maybe teaching Fili and Kili how to use weapons in the past. They prob woulda been super bouncy, so teaching Bilbo may not have been as trying a task. XD

Man, Fili and Kili would have been ridiculously bouncy. I can just imagine Thorin getting more and more short tempered until Dwalin took over.

Definitely an enjoyable one, though I'm a bit baffled as to why he would teach him to guard while sitting down?

Thanks! When afraid a student is going to drop a sharp object into their foot, it's not uncommon to make them learn basic movements while seated. At least, that's how weapons training at my dojang went.

Huh, I see! Nice. What kind of training did you receive? Re-enactment combat is more head-on, or at least how I was taught/now teach it, but I can see why it would differ on scenario and technique. (:
