After last night's disturbing revelation re: negging, I find myself forced to take a good look at my people-evaluation skills. Karate guy had me completely snookered. But I recognized him for who he was after last night's convo and will take appropriate steps

Both how someone acts and what their motivations are go into who that person is. When a friend of mine has someone new in their life, it's often the little things they see--and those are important. But if the friend talks to me about it, the underlying question I ask--is is the person generous?

I also watch how someone treats the waiter/waitress. Very telling. If they're not nice to the wait staff, they ain't gonna be nice to you.
