Dec 19-26: Snowpacalypse/Snowmageddon/Snowgasm 2008 renders Ben and parents housebound, unable to so much as leave the house for groceries. Cabin fever leads to mysterious murders and paranormal activity. Criminal investigation still underway. Jack Nicholson detained for questioning.

A NEU! Year's Eve party? I just nerdgasmed like three times. That is so awesome.

Also Jarra's is all about the basement lounge. I have had many a fine evening in that lounge. Totally great. Even better than the mango margaritas at Bombay Cricket Club, the only Indian restaurant staffed by white people I have ever encountered. Oh, Portland.

The lounge is good (I checked it out on your recommendation, actually), but I like having the full menu. Everybody says Bombay Cricket Club is the best in town, but the one time I went there did not convince me. If you have a chance, check out the East India Company downtown. It is amazing. Pretty pricey, but it is one of those rare spendy restaurants that is actually worth it.
