And the worst thing is that he probably forgot about it already and is continuing as before. He's the kind of person who blocks all kinds of criticism, no matter how valid it is.

Nah, sadly he's the kind of person who doesn't even listen to criticism, no matter how valid and true it is. He's so set in his little world where he's unfehlbar. Even when he asks you for advice, he doesn't really want to hear it. He just wants you to confirm him and his opinion. I fear he's a lost cause.
