From what I've been able to tell, it seems as if each ship (and our comrades currently stranded on the island) are each in possession of a map. These maps, if what I'm understanding what I'm reading correctly, are eerily similar if not identical. How is it that no one finds this odd?

On the topic of odd things, our ship seems to be moving slowly in ( Read more... )

Do we know if we can steer the ship ourselves? We don't know how long it will take for us to get wherever we're going, and we'll most likely need to make port somewhere along the way. I'm also in need of some personal items.

I believe we can steer the ship ourselves, but if we let it go it pulls itself.

This is a good point. The idea certainly isn't concrete and has problems that would need to be ironed out but in my opinion it's better than suggesting we all meet on an island halfway around the Line.

This is assuming that we're still beyond Arabasta. We could be close to Reverse Mountain, for all we know.

I am assuming that since some occupants of this ship were at your crew's Christmas party we are still somewhere in the general vicinity of the Christmas Island. However, with everything going on it may be wrong to assume anything about our current location.

Isn't it a simple current?

Either way, we do need to stop somewhere soon to restock for food and other items.

As for cigars and matches, we do have them since we have a crew member who spends his days smoking. I'll bring you some, I'm sure Matt won't mind.

[ooc: I actually like the idea of the ships being all pulled towards the island in the map; that way everyone would forcefully end up there and we could continue with the plot]

There is no such thing as "just a simple current" on the Grand Line. Because of the way the Line is, currents are constantly changing and without a Pose pointing your way you could be sailing in circles and not know it. Thankfully there are more primitive ways of navigation, such as looking at the stars which is actually how I came to this conclusion.

Should we keep sailing the way we are we are bound to hit an island eventually. As we have no idea where we are at the moment, I highly suggest that course of action.

Thank you. It is much appreciated.

[ooc: Thanks! I didn't actually come up with the idea, just implemented it. ;) ]

Well, if this... whatever is pulling us, actually is driving us towards that said island on the map, we should prepare ourselves for the worst. Mostly because we don't know anything about it; there could be marines there, bounty hunters, or maybe just idiots playing around. Still, someone actually dared to try and bring this entire network together; they are either really stupid or actually know what they are doing.

Well, Jyabura is the captain anyway and already told him what I think. I'll let him have the last word.

Mm. I think it would be best to err on the side of caution. For all we know, though, this could have been an accident. A good amount of evidence seems to disprove it, but I wouldn't count out the possibility quite yet.

Alright.

I've noticed a similar phenomenon involving the ship I'm currently on. I had decided to put it down to odd Grand Line current behavior for the time being, but if other ships are experiencing the same, it would seem that this is more than a strange coincidence. I'll bring it up to the captain.

All right, I think that settles it. If this is happening to everybody else, I don't see any reason why we shouldn't go along with it, even if it is a trap. I really doubt any force on the Grand Line is gonna be able to take all of us at once.

This is true.

I sincerely doubt that all of us combined would be beaten by whoever did this.

Huh. I thought Eitr was just far away and that is why we're taking so long to get there. I shall ask Nami if this is why!

Please do.
