Love Is Blind, But I'm Not (chap. 9)
“Oit~~what’s with the frowning?” Eunhyuk commented as he and Donghae was entering Kyuhyun’s bedroom. Both were sucking on ice-creams as they sat down on his bed, ruffling its sheet. Kyuhyun, who used to be someone that is so sensitive with his bed just stopped being like that when Eunhyuk started to hang out at his place. Kyuhyun smiled, trying to tell them that it was nothing, but he failed as Donghae found his unresolved face.
“Something’s wrong about your phone? Lemme take a look.” Donghae took the phone from Kyuhyun’s hand, and started to investigate. Eunhyuk just kept on sucking on his ice-cream while his head landed right onto Kyuhyun’s poop-look-alike plush.
Kyuhyun couldn’t feel other than grateful enough that Donghae was by his side in the healing time of his. His therapy were teaching him how to read signs, and how numbers and letters looks like, but Donghae was the one who teach him how to use buttons on his phone, other than the call and end-call button, how to buy tickets as normal people did, without any specialities that is, the feeling to watch a movie that he had been waiting for so long, and so many basic things that he should know being a normal student.
“Donghae-ah, thank you for being by my side all this time in this one year of high school.” A simple blush smeared around Donghae’s cheeks, and Kyuhyun just thought that it was a fun thing to see that. Donghae just have the red cheeks that girls adored so much.
“Are you having a fever or something? Don’t say shits like that, man.” Donghae shoved the phone back at Kyuhyun, as the latter smirked. “You just need to key in the password, man. Why were you locking this file before?”
“Wasn’t me. Someone else did. I just knew that my phone has this feature with it.” And they both wondered just who was the person locking it and what kind of file that he was being so secretive with, when Eunhyuk suddenly changed the topic.
“How do you think our results with the university entrance exam would be?” and get smacked by his two friends.

Hyomin was nervous, as she was waiting for Sungmin. In these few days, she just couldn’t reach Sungmin’s phone, and she felt as if her heart was about to burst when Sungmin suddenly called her last night.
“I want to tell you about my answer to your suggestion. But I think I need to tell it to you, face to face. Can we meet?”
And for sure they can!! Hyomin just couldn’t stop herself anymore from thinking about Sungmin. Sungmin in her sleep, Sungmin while having breakfast, Sungmin while she was arranging the books onto the shelves, Sungmin in everything!
And that was all because the one-time fate-crossing between them, when Sungmin saved her from death.
‘I need to admit, I have hopelessly fallen for this guy. Mianhe, Kyu.’ She mumbled to herself as the guilt was growing inside her. She felt so bad about falling for his brother’s boyfriend, but when she gave it a thought once again, she felt as if she had done the right thing.
Kyuhyun can never be with Sungmin. That’s the fact. They just can’t break the norms of the world, especially in Korea. ‘Come on, little bro! This is not England. Being with Sungmin, and you’ll be suffering, more than before.’
“Sorry for the lateness, there was a board meeting just now.” And there was Sungmin, sitting down while repairing his red tie against his black shirt, smiling and greeting her as a chevalier could be.
“I-It’s okay. I just arrived myself. So, what’s your answer?” she tried to restrained her nervousness, but she herself could tell that she failed to do that.
Sungmin took a deep breath, made his mouth turned small, and to Hyomin, that was just adorable.
“I can’t be your boyfriend, Hyomin-shii. Even as a pretend one.”

Sungmin’s words really made Hyomin felt ashamed. Ashamed for falling for his brother’s boyfriend, ashamed for falling for a gay man, and ashamed for being rejected for a guy!
“I know that you wanted to help me to be closer to Kyuhyun, but this isn’t just the way it supposed to be. I’m a man of my word, and we had a deal, remember? To let Kyuhyun to choose his path for himself, and just leaned on our faith with it?”
No! The truth is, that I thought I could have a chance to be with you. And that I had hopelessly fallen for you.
“Why were you choosing to agree to this deal, Sungmin-shii? Was it because you believe that Kyuhyun’s heart won’t change?” Hyomin suddenly gave out a sarcastic sounded question. Sungmin couldn’t say a word. She was right, in a way.
Then, if you’re telling me that you are rejecting me for the sake of my brother, then you have to accept the fact, that I will do all that I could to make sure that you would never want to love him ever again, and he will forget about you completely.
“Well, I take that as a yes, then. And you wanna know something? In this whole year he had been living without you, never once he uttered your name on his lips, Sungmin-shii. Never once I heard of it.” And a word to describe Sungmin’s face at that time was; hopeless.

Kyuhyun startled a bit as a message from Hyomin buzzed his phone.
*let’s have a drink, celebrating your just-finished exam.^^*
And Kyuhyun couldn’t help it but smiled. His noona sure have her own way of expressing her love, well, that was what he thought. What was waiting for him on the other side, was a whole different thing.
As Kyuhyun was walking his way to the coffee shop where they were supposed to meet, Hyomin kept telling Sungmin everything that could make the beautiful man upset. How there were many girls confessing to him, how he enjoy his life with his new friends, how he kept all the things that Sungmin gave him before in the store room, and his hardwork of pursuing his dreams that was more important than his love, only to watched Sungmin’s smiling face, and a sad expression he made.
Without him even knowing that Kyuhyun was coming, he bowed to Hyomin,
“I’m glad that he did all that he could to forget me. It is better this way. But I’m still not going to forget him, because he was my light, when I was a blind man.”
And left Hyomin with her unspoken words.

As he walked, Kyuhyun was cursing himself. His views were still limited, and he either need to wear contacts, or with glasses, and right now, he left his glasses at home, and forgot to bring his contacts in his pocket while rushing out to meet Hyomin.
And in his mumbling mode, Kyuhyun was so careful to not to bumps into people. Unfortunately, he did, and it was a man.
“I’m sorry! My bad! I was in hurry...I’m so sorry, Sir...” and a miracle was happening right in front of his eyes.

A sudden bump in the street was the least thing Sungmin was expecting to happen at that time. But he just didn’t have the strength to be angry at anyone, especially in a mood like that.
“I’m sorry! My bad! I was in hurry...I’m so sorry, Sir...” he didn’t look up to the young man who were apologizing, but kept saying that it was alright, and it was his fault, too, that they were having the silly accident like that.
But after he said those words, nothing came out from the apologizing mouth before. And Sungmin gave the young man a stare in his face, only to realised, that a miracle was happening right in front of his eyes.

The man that he bumped into, was the only clear vision that he had at that time. The beautiful man that was staring at him at that time, was the only one that he could see without having to extra-focusing his eyes.
Kyuhyun was amazed, and dumbfounded.

The young man that he bumped into, was Kyuhyun. The tall, pale-skinned with a deep eyes in front of him, was Kyuhyun. The person that he had been missing since a year ago. The only person that found him in his blindness, and mesmerized him with his innocent smiles.
Sungmin was at the very verge of his tears.
