Love Is Blind, But I'm Not (chap. 10)
“So, you are my sister’s new boyfriend? Nice to meet you.” Kyuhyun smiled, and Sungmin too, as he shook Kyuhyun’s hand. The warmth in that hand, he finally felt it again. But to feel the lovely warmth in the hand that he had longed for, now isn’t the right time.
And Hyomin smiled, as what she had originally planned finally worked out, accidentally.
About 15 minutes ago...
Sungmin was cursing himself.
If only I wasn’t hesitating to run away, or tell him the truth, all this lies wouldn’t have to happen.
He was so shocked, and happy, and worried, that he couldn’t utter a word to the clueless Kyuhyun in front of him. He wanted to hug the latter, but that would be impossible, he didn’t think that was the right timing.
He wanted to kiss him, but Hyomin’s words before this, how Kyuhyun was trying to forget about him, suddenly caught his logic.
He wanted to tell him directly, that he is Lee Sungmin, but he was too afraid that Kyuhyun had actually hate him, and worried that the result will be far from what he had been expecting.
And seeing the miraculously incident just outside the coffee shop where Sungmin rejected her moments ago, Hyomin suddenly found her own way of revenge. And Sungmin wasn’t able to refuse it.
Rushing outside, Hyomin pulled Sungmin from Kyuhyun’s hold, concernly asked him whether he was okay or not. Sungmin who was still in shock, answered her with a faint voice, more to a dearly one, that could make everyone who listened to that voice to fall in love with it, instantly.
And Kyuhyun suddenly felt something in his chest, as if the voice heard just now gave him a punch in it.
“Excuse me, are you...”
“Kyuhyun-ah, meet my boyfriend...Lee -” and before she could finish the name, Sungmin suddenly cut her.
“Seunggi. Lee Seunggi. Nice to meet you, Kyuhyun-shii.”

“Are you out of your mind?? Cho Hyomin! That man you’re asking to be your lover was Lee Sungmin!! Why do you think I quit the job and moved from our old house??? To take him out of Kyuhyun’s life, of our lives!!” Hyomin was making faces to Hyori’s scolding. And Siwon, who was listening to the argument with his sisters just didn’t like what he saw just now.
“You better stop making that grimaces, or I’ll strip your skin from your face, young lady.” Feeling threatened by Siwon’s words, Hyomin refined her face.
“Okay, okay. Relax, unni! Don’t you think that, I’m doing something that was really profitable?” Hyomin’s first bait caught both her sibling’s attention, and two pairs of eyes were staring at her, waiting for her next points.
“You’re not pure at all, don’t you think, unni? You said that if Kyuhyun never forget Lee-khun, even if they separated in a long time, you will never be an obstacle. Sounds fair enough to me, well, the first time I heard of it.” Hyori’s face suddenly changed, and Siwon noticed that. Seemed like Hyori too, has a lot to explain to him later.
Hyomin smirked, contended with her first munch of words. “But...you just hoped, and still hoping, that Kyuhyun would just forget about the man, and live on with his new life, am I right?” and Hyori silently sat down on the couch, touching her own cheek with her palm.
“Noona? What is she talking about? You didn’t really...” as the matter became clearer, Siwon voiced out his thought.
“After the first meeting a year ago, I found out that he never leave Korea, to take care of his company. At first, I thought that it would be okay, as long as they don’t meet each other, and maybe after some times, Kyuhyun will forget about Sungmin, and find himself a new girlfriend or do anything that he want with his life.” Hyori stopped there. And as Hyomin smiled, a wicked one, Siwon was sure, that his noona had done something that she wasn’t supposed to.
“But then, I found that Kyuhyun was trying to get into the university Sungmin was attending, and into the same course as Sungmin was in, humming the song that Sungmin used to hum in his office whenever he was having problems to solved, and kept cletching his teeth when he was angry, trying to endure it, just like what Sungmin thought me to do when I felt the same.” She slowly turned her head towards Siwon, who was capturing the idea of his noona’s explanation about Kyuhyun’s behaviours.
“Kyuhyun just never forget Sungmin. He did all the I-don’t-care-if-he-leave things to make sure that we don’t interfere in his life anymore. He’s giving his all to be a man, so that he can be free from us.”
“And just what did you do, noona?”
Hyori sighed, deeply. “I met him a few months ago, and told him to stop waiting for Kyuhyun, that he won’t be looking for him. I told him to give up, and he said that he will, only if the words came out from Kyuhyun himself.”
And for the first time in his life, Siwon felt the rage of negative feelings inside him. He never broke any promise, and listening to Hyori’s and Hyomin’s plans and actions, he thought that he was going to put his hands onto the two girls, and asking them fiercely, why did they do that to Kyuhyun.
But he just couldn’t, and as he was about to asked the cliche question, the ‘have you guys ever thought about their youngest’s feelings?’ question, a slim body weakly slumped in front of the living room. It was Kyuhyun.
“And I was wondering if it was just my bad luck to never once get the chance to hear from him.” Tears rolling down his cheeks, and that was hurting his eyes, and thousands of stabs were hitting his chest. He was crying so much that it hurts.

It was a luck that he came home early from the vocal lessons that day, or else he won’t get the chance to know what was actually kept him away from Sungmin. But he was so unfortunate that he didn’t hear about Hyomin’s part of the plans.
He was crying so much, that Siwon never thought he would saw Kyuhyun would cry like that again, after the first time, when he was crying over his dark world.
“What is my fault? I stopped being so dependent just to make sure that I’m not a burden to you guys. I studied hard enough to make sure I can be someone useful for this family. I went trough the operation to make sure that your guilt disappear.” He stuttered a bit, hiccuping for crying too much.
“Sungmin, and this love, make me want to really want something for myself. And you took it from me, noona. Congratulations. You’ve killed me.”

“Aish, watch where are you going, kid!!” Donghae was jumping off his seat as the soy milk spilt on the table where they were eating. Everyone was watching them, as Kyuhyun, who didn’t get the chance even to stand up was covered half in the sweet yummy bean milk. His collar and left sleeve were wet, and his glasses too.
“I’m sorry, Kyuhyun sunbae-nim! Donghae sunbae-nim! I’ll get you another drinks!” but Kyuhyun grabbed the girl’s shivering hand, and smiled at her; another meltdown.
“It’s okay, don’t worry.” And then he left, as the girl was about to faint with his dangerous smile. And Donghae bowed at him in his heart.
“I never thought that your little spoken words would succeed in making her melt. You’re awesome man!” Donghae patted his back, giving him compliments that he never took them as serious. Kyuhyun smiled.
It has been three years since he left home. His sisters kept asking where he’s living right now, and how he’s doing. He just keeping in touch with Siwon, as the brother of his was, in some way, defending him when he was in the relationship with Sungmin.
Was? He’s still in love with him. And still searching for him. Maybe Sungmin has already gave up? Or has he found himself a new love? But he just don’t care. As long as he could see Sungmin again, he’ll be satisfied.
And talking about new love, he just never heard of Hyomin’s boyfriend, Lee Seunggi anymore. Maybe they broke up, he didn’t care. Hyomin is just, so unreasonable. She kept saying that in love, she wants to be the dominant, to rule the relationship. That’s why all her lovers left her.
And what a coincidence, that his name were just the same as Lee Ri In’s cute son. And to be truth, sometimes, just sometimes, Lee Seunggi’s beautiful face popped out in his mind, and making him smile. And when he first listened to Seunggi’s voice, he actually thought that, it was Sungmin in front of him.
Aw~it was just some admiring, and of course, because of his longing for Sungmin, that’s all.
And Hyori, he feels bad about not attending her marriage, but he still need sometimes to fixed his broken heart with her right now.
Timing is just what he needs to have a good control with.

Being a student in the architecture faculty, means that you must follow the deadline of your project, especially when you’re a final student. And the two friends were merely drifting from the right meaning of the sentence.
“Come on, Donghae!! If we’re late, there goes all the sleepless night!!” Kyuhyun was shouting like crazy, jumping outside Donghae’s room, hands clutched to his final project model. The office building that he designed was only finished last night, fortunately.
“Yeah, yeah! Geez, they should give the students more times for our final project, don’t you think?” Donghae was nagging as he fit his large feet into his running shoes. The cold breeze of the morning shivered him inside out.
“It’s too late for you to whine about it. If you wanna to, you can tell the student’s council about that.” Donghae paused for a while, thinking.
“Naah~it’s our final year after all, it won’t benefit us after this. Let’s go!”

The two boys were running, so fast, worried if they were going to miss the first class that morning. The class where they should hand in their final project.
As his project was a bit tall, Kyuhyun couldn’t see it much in front of him, and when Donghae was about to warned him that someone was coming from his front, he already stamped on the road, and saw his project flew up in the sky....
...and caught safely by some gentle hands.
“Lee Seunggi-shii? What are you doing here?” Kyuhyun asked, surprisingly.
And the latter was surprised himself.

Let’s have some flashback here, about what happened three years ago, with Cho Hyomin, and Lee Sungmin...a few days after the coffee house incident.
“Stop all this. You saved me from telling him the truth, but I want you to stop all this at once!” Sungmin’s usually gentle voice turned hoarse, from the tears and the anger. Hyomin must admit, that she was so surprised to hear him talk like that.
“Why? He already saw you, how do you want me to stop this?” Sungmin smirked, hatred towards the lady in front of him finally shown. "Just do what you can, I don't care about it anymore."
“I don’t know what is you plan, but this is not gonna work. I’m not going to wait for Kyuhyun anymore. I’m going to chase him. Even if he has started to hate me, I’m going to make him fall in love for me again. I’m not going to lose him anymore.” And as he finish, he dash out from the bookstore where Hyomin works.
Hyomin could breathe some danger with Sungmin’s words. She must do something to make sure that the boys won’t be together.
And letting Hyori realised that Sungmin is actually for her sounds like a good idea. And thanks to that, Kyuhyun'll leave the house sooner or later.
