It's been a while since I updated, and I feel like I ought to, but I'm not in a great frame of mind really so it's a bit disjointed...

Andrew left for Detroit this morning and is due to arrive there in an hour or so, I believe. He'll be there for a month. It's crappy. I hate him going away enough at the best of times, but right now I need it less

I've got lots to keep me busy, so hopefully the month will go quickly. I've been through this before when he's been away for a long time, and it's usually much easier once I make it to the halfway point.

Feel free to show up randomly on the doorstep (Ally, too!) over the next few weeks - unexpected company is always a good thing :)

Sorry to hear that you're feeling down at the moment. It must be really difficult knowing that Andrew is going to be away for so long but hopefully the time will pass quite quickly and he'll be back before you know it.

Yeah, it'll be ok. I've done it before - he used to go away for work quite a lot, but I'm a bit out of practice lately! Actually, I'm grateful that his work decided to make it April; originally there was talk of them sending him away in February, what a way to treat a newlywed!!!

Glad things are going well for you and your new house, by the way - I have been reading, just feeling a bit quiet myself so not commenting much recently :)
