Maybe I'll just take yours and change certain words. 'photography' becomes 'illustration' and 'I have travelled widely throughout Europe and the USA and... it helped me understand many aspects of professional practise' becomes 'I have sat on my arse doing fuck all'.

I think they would be idiots not to interview you after reading that... it's straight to the point, tells them that you're passionate and know what you want out of it all.... but at the same time it has depth - not just 'I want to be a photographer because....'

I wouldn't worry about using certain words too much - it only bothers you because you wrote it.... I assure you that anyone else wouldn't even notice.
