I'm done being nice and telling the truth. All this has ever gotten me in the long run is shit on. It has jeopardized my work and now my reviewing. All because I let people in on the truth and don't lie to there faces. I just need to be a mean vindictive asshole like the rest of the world.

I feel that. So far I feel like for being a good person all I got was run over and betrayed. While narcissitic bitches get brag about their PERFECT LIVES.

And look, I got fed up with my job and took the initiative to go and get one I liked better only to be laid off 2 months later...

So yeah, I significantly feel you on the whole "nice guys finish last" aspect of things.

Understandable, my friend. I got disillusioned with my previous (note, real) line of work due to backstabbing and witnessing co-workers that were diligent and honest (overall stand-up people) get screwed over because of politics or insufferable cretins exploiting such policies for their own benefit. I guess that's why I'm complacent (or will be) with my current profession; one can only imagine the repercussions if people pull off bullshit like that.

Anyway, while I don't think there's much I can do to help, I'm hoping something works out for you soon and get you back on track.

I've learned that you really have to find a middle balance. If you're too nice you get walked all over and thrown around like some worthless person. If you are too much of an ass/bitch then no one can talk to you and work with you. If you find a good in-between you're set, because then you're bitchy enough to where no one will take advantage of you, but not bitchy enough to be unapproachable.

Find that happy medium and you'll be good! I've found mine, but I often have a hard time keeping it there. I struggle with that a bit. But once you find it you know what you have to work for. Love ya hun *hug*
