Seriously, the nine-year-old versions were so spot on it's ridiculous. I loved the relationship between Spock and Kirk being explored as brand new, one unknowing, and then an old friendship again. The dynamics are very interesting, not to mention the writing. It's so smooth, and I really feel for the characters.
I'm deeply impressed. Thank you so much for sharing this. <3

"I know," Jim said back, but didn't let go. Instead he briefly considered humming his own secret agent theme music as he hugged the wall and glanced around a corner.
I laughed so hard at this. I can totally see Jim doing that.
"Jim," came Spock's voice from down the hall. Jim turned, saw Spock approaching and thought, 'fuck that.'
He met Spock half-way, wrapped an arm around his neck and kissed his First Officer for all he was worth. Spock's hands came up to rest on his hips almost immediately and Jim sighed, smiled, and pressed closer.
This was awesome. That Spock, of all people, refused to let the moment go and followed Jim out into the hall was absolute perfection.
I loved this whole story. The premise, the hilarity and emotion and the resolution. Guh!
