Be careful where you teach your kid to drive

Guess I missed a bit of excitement last night by just 15 minutes. One side of our one-story building at work is made up of floor-to-ceiling plate glass windows. Yikes!

We had a garbage truck crash into our living room when I was a kid. My mom was directly upstairs in her bedroom and thought the Russians had invaded. (Which was always sorta amusing considering that *she* was Russian).

Double yikes! That must have done a lot more damage than an SUV.

Considering that we do some military work here, since navigation systems can go on any type of plane, the student driver is lucky he/she didn't get an anti-terrorist response. I don't think our security people are armed, but I'm sure they showed up with batons/paperweights/sharp sticks at the ready.

Actually it turned out quite well. No one was hurt, the Russians were not attacking, and my mom got all new living room furniture :-)

The guy whose cubicle faced the window was working late too, he had just stepped away from his desk. I hope he bought some lottery tickets on the way home. :-O
