I just got raided by a family of raccoons. The frickin' things were in my kitchen while I sat back here at the computer. I heard Cleo complain, but she wasn't doing her territorial death warble so I thought nothing of it. Miss Lucy-angel got her wings today. It was a beautiful day, and we lay in the sun for a while. She asked for a last treat of tuna and chicken, but didn't really eat. Then we went to the vet, and it was peaceful and quick. She was beautiful and loving right to the end, and I'm thankful for 12 fun years together. Thanks to all of you, too, for ( Read more... ) -

I got the news on Miss Lucy today, she has lymphosarcoma. It can be treatable by chemotherapy, but it's generally not curable. She was still perky this morning after getting some pain medicine, so I got her a Prednisone shot, but the vet isn't in favor of aggressive treatment at her age ( Read more... ) -

I'm supposed to be winging my way to ORC right now, but instead I'm home with a sick kitty. Lucy is 16 and has been steadily losing weight and barely eating anything for weeks. She's on medicine for hyperthyroid, but just this morning it occurred to me that she could also have a blockage because she couldn't digest the Pill Pockets I tried last ( Read more... ) -
