I didn't know about that performance -- thank you! Were you planning to be down here? Omigosh, I don't know if anything could equal our experience in Houston...
*waves back* Sorry for being such a lurker lately - work is so computer-intensive that it saps my posting energy, not to mention my eyesight and my right arm muscles. *ow* But I do check in every day to see what everyone is up to.
My sister just emailed me today about the symphony. I think she's hoping I'll come down. I'm tempted, but I don't know if I can manage both that and Houston. Then again, doing both *would* almost equal the Houston trip last year, wouldn't it?
Be careful of your eyesight! My eye doctor keeps telling me to remember the 20/20/20 rule: Every 20 minutes (at most), focus on something 20 feet away (at least) for 20 seconds (at least).
I'm not going to make any symphony plans yet, but if you think you'll be in town I'd be thrilled to go. That's going to be a wild week/weekend around the Convention Center, that's for sure.
I just rechecked the link looking for the symphony location, and saw that it's Howard Shore himself conducting! Okay, I think I'm going to have to do this, crowds and overbooked hotels or not.
You'd think I'd be more careful of my eyes after my poor sister's experience. I've known about the change of focus rule for years, but it's so easy to get wrapped up in what I'm doing that I don't even blink, let alone remember to look up.
