My ultrasound came back completely normal. I've been wanting that peace of mind for over a year, so too bad if my doctor didn't think it was worth it. Maybe by next year she'll have caught up with the latest recommendations, and I won't be the one having to tell her what they are

Thanks! If I could have kept quiet about it for a couple more days, you all wouldn't know what a hypochondriac I am. ;-) I need to switch back to an office where they'll let you watch as they do it. Not that I can really tell what I'm looking at, but it makes it less scary.

I don't think it's hypochondriac-esque to worry about something like that. Especially with the family history you have with those fibroids!

I realized the other day that only two of six sisters don't have a belly or breast scar, and my other sister has a fibroid that isn't bothering her enough to remove. It's all benign stuff so far, but add in Mom's cancer and yikes. What a family!

Yeah, it's a big relief. I'm glad they zipped the letter right out to me - I was afraid that if it was negative, they'd take their time.

*hugs back* The only drawback to knowing I'm just fat is, well, I'm fat. But I was definitely terrified by the idea of remedying that with a scalpel, so yes, huge relief. I've seen my poor sister's scars. :(
