After spending my whole Saturday watching the Trilogy screening - which was lovely, but leaves you with buns of lead - I was oh so virtuous yesterday. Did some laundry and the vacuuming, changed the bed, washed the dishes, and then, having left the worst for last, mowed the lawn. I had only let it go two weeks, but OMG it was looonnng. I had to ( Read more... )

Exacterly.

Sounds like Jo's right hand is all screwed up like my left hand is. We went to lunch today and I heard the sad story of her Saturday, including a run-down watch battery that made her think she was ahead of things instead of three hours behind.

And then she couldn't find her ticket ...

Yikes. I hope it wasn't her prep work that screwed up her hand. And the battery thing is just cruel. I'm sad to think that she could have joined us for part of it but couldn't find the ticket. I hope she at least liked her class.

Take care of that hand of yours!

She did like her class very much and she was trying to explain it to me and it had something to do with making one's own personal tarot. So her homework required her to go out and get equipment like cutting boards and an exacto knife and then cut out pictures from magazines that resonated with her. Sounds like her hand has been hurting for several days now though I doubt Saturday did it any good. It's harder for her than me because it's her right hand and she's right-handed.

Ha. She sent me a link to some Seattle-based writers organization that does classes and readings and stuff. I read it and went cold and nauseous all over at the mere thought :-)

That sounds cool, I like tarot stuff. Had a calendar when I was a teenager that came with some of the cards, just the major arcana. Not sure how I kept my mom from finding it and throwing it away. Still have it in a box somewhere - wonder if I'd remember how to do a reading.

How perzactly did you hurt your left hand if you're right-handed? OK, dumb question, you still type with both hands. It's my mouse hand that usually gets overused.

I'm eating some of those veggies and dip. They sure crunch loud now that most everyone else has gone home.

I quite amazed myself. I think the Trilogy, especially seen with such a good audience, gave me a boost.

Don't you worry about that kind of stuff right now! You need to get better and save your energy for making it to the end of the school year.
