I worked through our days off for the 4th, so being able to work from home made it bearable. At least I could take breaks to make myself a sammich or let the cat out to bask in the sun. And the cukes are about ready, so this weekend I will be able to make myself a fine salad too. Wish I could send you some, but I doubt they'd travel well through the Texas heat... Same for the Seattle Chocolate, I think that will have to be a Christmas treat.

I'm glad your visit with your friend turned out well - it always helps to get a pleasant break, especially with you trapped so close to home. And here I am complaining about just a few weeks.
