Assigning strings from Backstories for Arcana-After Years

Monsterhearts Backstories are reminiscent of a late night less than sober game of truth or dare/never I have ever. For Satoshi, I'd say Taki is the person that finally noticed him. I'd say Katie or Haruko probably qualify for making fun of him. I forget preferred Katie term [For Katie, the condition would be Bran Muffin]. For Haruko, the condition would probably be prude. That said, she stopped teasing him a while back.

For Taki I'd say go with Satoshi for Making out (and switch phrasing to date). Katie for lover as it doesn't have to be reciprocated. Haruko might qualify as head of family if you switch it to "Higher-ranking Cups" or "Most persistent of your old gang". That's really Gryph's choice though.

You all get a string on Haruko, as that prompt totally fits her and applies to everyone.

Another option for Satoshi, I'd be happy to go with a teaser major NPC. I propose a Canadian on the hockey team. A rude Canadian! One that won't stand for Satoshi pulling the immigrant card, because he emigrated too.

Doing a llittle research, I think I'd call him Liam and have him be from British Columbia.

Arguing Katie for my first prompt - at the start of Arcana, it's not so much romantic interest but friendship. Would probably go with Haruko for the second, as her teasing was more likely to make him embarrassed.

#1 - Katie and Kyon. Kaede gets strings for both of them! Yay monster slaying!

#2 - Dunno. May need to be a new NPC thing.

#3 - If we're going with now, we're putting Satoshi here. 2 strings for him!

#4 - Nanami gets a spot here, so she gets 2 strings.

Ideas for a rival NPC who wants to ruin Kaede's life:

Akemi's ex-boyfriend and ex-manager (who, IIRC, is the same person). He never showed up on screen, and he must have done something after she fired him. He might blame it at least partially on Kaede. Akemi's not really the best at making people hate her.

Remi Okui, possibly. Because. Remi.

Someone from school or elsewhere? Kaede's got a habit of brushing people off or saying exactly the wrong thing, even now.

Haruko's no. 3:

Katie is jealous of a quality you have. (Integrity. Katie still struggles with her sense of right and wrong, and Haruko seems to have no trouble defining and sticking to her convictions.) Discuss with them and decide what it is. You each get a String on one another. (Unicorn)

I've updated the sheet according and taking out the neighbor ones as I'd assume you'd prefer not to use those. You've got three, so that's not shabby at all.
