I WISH I was literary enough to make a reference as such... but *shhhh*

Why YES! The yellow wallpaper is inDEED a reference to The Yellow Wallpaper by Charlotte Perkins Gilman!

Also, I sent you an old version of the poster by mistake. "Francess ann" is both misspelled and miscapitalized.

I was wondering about that. If you'd like to send me a version with the correct spelling I'd be happy to post it. Also, thanks for the link!

Hey Becca! It would be awesome if you could come, but I know a lot of people can't. I'll definitely be in the thick of conference work when you get here, but that doesn't mean we can't hang out. See you soon!

I wonder if they all come out of that wall-paper as I did? moneypenny April 19 2007, 18:03:02 UTC
Thanks, doll. The poster is truly amazing. Also, The Yellow Wallpaper reference may be intentional, eh? Is Lenore's story actually one of a woman who is going crazy from denial of sexual release?

Gabe, the guy who designed the poster, later informed me that the wallpaper was in fact an intentional reference to Gilman's story. It's pretty appropriate, too. In life, Lenore was all but ignored by her workaholic husband. In death, she has a whole song about how bad she wants to bang him, but she can't 'cause she's a ghost.

So sad.
