I'm very sad to announce that I've decided not to hold a Best Mates Holiday Exchange this year.

This is solely because of my own commitments that will keep me from giving 100% to modding it. This exchange has always been a pleasure to moderate.

Thank you to all of the past participants and watchers! You are all amazing! ♥

I'm not offering the community up to anyone else. But, of course, if anyone wants to start a new community and hold an exchange, I have no say in that.

Given all the recent changes in my own life, I truly understand finding yourself in a situation where you lack sufficient time to devote to a project of this magnitude, but I will truly miss the fest, as both a writer and a reader. Do you think you may give it another go in a future year?

If no one takes it on and starts their own exchange for the pairing, I would consider it.

I completely understand! I have had similar things happen in my life recently; I'm just sad that I never got a chance to contribute. Look forward to seeing it next year, perhaps!
