i love you! i love you and i love this and i love that lj made us friends! this is the most thoughtful thing anyone has ever done for me. because even though this fic is about Lily and Hugo, it's about my life. you've been so great the past few weeks, and it's so obvious that you wrote this for me and what i've been going through. Thanks so much! it's absolutely perfect!

i love Lily's indecision and her passion for stars. i love astronomy and i'm a capricorn--did you know that when you wrote this? :) i love that she's good at things that aren't conventional and she doesn't know what she wants, b/c she's not sure what people want from her.

I LOVE HUGO!!!!!!!! he is my favorite, and i love how you've written him here! he's so encouraging to her and just wants to be there for her and with her. oh my goodness i just love him! my favorite part is the description of how she sees herself when she looks at him, but he's all grown up. uhh. precious!

THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU! this is the best birthday present! i love it! THANK YOU!

I was hoping you'd get the connections I was going for!

I didn't know at first that you were a capricorn, but once I'd settled into Lily being an astrologist, I had to go look up what your birthday was and see. =D And so few people are actually good at conventional things that I had to offer one of my characters the chance to be different. I really like this Lily too. *pets her*

And Hugo is always my favorite. He's just so laid back and cool. I don't think he's quite as mature as Lily thinks, but we tend to elevate others before ourselves. XD

*hugs* I'm so glad you liked it. =) I was afraid that a gen piece might not be what you wanted, but I'm so, so glad it was just right!

Awww, Hugo FTW *hugs him* *hugs him again* *pushes lily off tower so Huge comforts me*

I love Lily's confusion over the future and Hugo helping her through it. Her fear that she will end up like her mother, I can relate to that.
Wonderful story!!!

No! Don't kill my Lily! I have fallen in love with this incarnation of her. XD

And I can totally, totally relate to that fear as well. XD I always find bits of myself in my writing. It's a little scary, but good I think. A form of therapy, perhaps.

Don't worry she's a witch, she'll be fine XD

I think writing is better when you give a little piece of yourself, IMO.

Well, the old adage is to write what you know!

Ah, Hugo is so made of win. *pets him* This was really sweet and I'm in love with the backstory you've conjured up with Ginny and Harry. I thought I was in for some Ginny-bashing BUT you refrained and made her three-dimensional! *bounces* I really love how Hugo helps Lily out and it's so sweet. I like the comparisons you drew with Lily and Ginny; it's a valid fear I feel that Lily would have.

Hugo is ALWAYS made of win. He's my favorite next gen character at the moment. XD Mostly in gen pieces/roles though... I prefer him without a relationship complicating things. =P

And I hate character bashing, and always try to avoid it. Ginny, I don't like, but she doesn't deserve to be the bad girl all of the time. XD

And I think it is a totally valid fear. What girl isn't afraid of being like her mother? lol.

Agreed. I love Hugo as the omnipresent all-knowing Weasley. =D

I wonder who shaped that incarnation of Hugo. I think it may have been draykonis in her Rock On series...

(If you haven't seen you before, btw, do check her out. Her art is AMAZING. =D)

Thank you! I'm so glad you liked it. =)

I tried to make it realistic, and I'm glad you found it to be so. =D

I like this. I completely understand Lily's fears; it's probably the universal fears of every biofemale and student looking at the future... You do a wonderful job expressing it.

I've actually had the same sort of experience as Lily had, but with tarot cards instead of stars where fear became a huge block to reading the cards correctly (of course, my fears were a little bit less warranted than hers).... It's cool that you put that in.

And Hugo is lovable win.

I do think almost everyone fears these things... and for guys, there's a fear of being your father too. XD

I'm glad it connected with your life too! I was aiming for a really realistic feel on this, and so many people seem to see themselves in it that I'm super happy. =)

*hugs*
