i love Lily's indecision and her passion for stars. i love astronomy and i'm a capricorn--did you know that when you wrote this? :) i love that she's good at things that aren't conventional and she doesn't know what she wants, b/c she's not sure what people want from her.
I LOVE HUGO!!!!!!!! he is my favorite, and i love how you've written him here! he's so encouraging to her and just wants to be there for her and with her. oh my goodness i just love him! my favorite part is the description of how she sees herself when she looks at him, but he's all grown up. uhh. precious!
THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU! this is the best birthday present! i love it! THANK YOU!

I didn't know at first that you were a capricorn, but once I'd settled into Lily being an astrologist, I had to go look up what your birthday was and see. =D And so few people are actually good at conventional things that I had to offer one of my characters the chance to be different. I really like this Lily too. *pets her*
And Hugo is always my favorite. He's just so laid back and cool. I don't think he's quite as mature as Lily thinks, but we tend to elevate others before ourselves. XD
*hugs* I'm so glad you liked it. =) I was afraid that a gen piece might not be what you wanted, but I'm so, so glad it was just right!

I love Lily's confusion over the future and Hugo helping her through it. Her fear that she will end up like her mother, I can relate to that.
Wonderful story!!!

And I can totally, totally relate to that fear as well. XD I always find bits of myself in my writing. It's a little scary, but good I think. A form of therapy, perhaps.

I think writing is better when you give a little piece of yourself, IMO.

And I hate character bashing, and always try to avoid it. Ginny, I don't like, but she doesn't deserve to be the bad girl all of the time. XD
And I think it is a totally valid fear. What girl isn't afraid of being like her mother? lol.

I tried to make it realistic, and I'm glad you found it to be so. =D

I've actually had the same sort of experience as Lily had, but with tarot cards instead of stars where fear became a huge block to reading the cards correctly (of course, my fears were a little bit less warranted than hers).... It's cool that you put that in.
And Hugo is lovable win.

I'm glad it connected with your life too! I was aiming for a really realistic feel on this, and so many people seem to see themselves in it that I'm super happy. =)
*hugs*
