"So this is it," Spike said, sauntering up to the bar. Sober. "Got it all fixed up, did you?"

He looked around, nodding.

"Just what this place needs. Another bar."

[huntersdaughter]

Jo frowned, softly - more out of amusement than upset, "I did fix it all up and this place does need another bar. It needed one that I owned."

Spike raised his hands in mock-surrender.

"Not gonna disagree. If there's one thing there's never too much of, it's alcohol." He looked around. "Surprised you let the riff-raff in."

Jo shrugged, "It's opening night. How can I tell who to kick out if I haven't met them before. Besides, most the riff-raff needs a special banning worked out. I'm just looking into the ... options."

Spike smirked.

"Not a house," he said. "Which means I'm scott-free."

[huntersdaughter]

"Oh, is that so?" Jo teased.

"I do know a few Enochian symbols that might not pan out in your favor in the future. But we'll just have to see how well you behave tonight."

"Gesundheit," Spike said. "An' anyway, what's a good bar without a fight or two?"

[huntersdaughter]

"Hey, my bar just opened; I'd like to keep it looking nice for one night."

Spike looked around. "Oh, if that's what you're goin' for," he said. "'Nice.' That like, a gimmick? Put you out of the way of every other dive in this town?"

He smiled, teasing.

[huntersdaughter]

With a grin, Jo nodded in agreement, "I think it'll set the bar for bars a bit higher. Or, it'll just make people afraid to spill anything."

Spike shook his head.

"Doesn't work in the brothels," he pointed out. "Red plush everywhere, still no bloody manners."

[huntersdaughter]

Jo smirked over at Spike, "You make it sound as if I need to go to the brothels to compare interior decorating styles."

"Well it would give them a thrill, no doubt," he said. "Not sure it would suit this place. Bit overdone."

[huntersdaughter]

"The brothel is overdone or my bar is overdone and watch how you answer, I hit pretty hard."

Spike stared at her in disbelief. "The brothel, you silly girl," he said. "An' believe me, the tiny blond ones are the ones to watch out for, I know."

[huntersdaughter]

"I'm not so tiny, but I do like that we come with a pre-warning." Jo teased him, mostly because it was amusing. Which, imagine Jo's surprise in this moment to realize that she's having a conversation with a vampire that she's amused by.
