Buffy was doing her impression of Santa Claus, with a bag of gifts for people who she knew would be there. Yes, this was probably a little public for Christmas gifts, but she figured she'd know most of everyone here, so now was as good an opportunity as any.

She also had bottle of wine that she liberated from the liquor store she spent her snow days trapped in, but that was another story entirely.

Still, red sack of presents, tiny blond Slayer, bottle of wine. Socialize at your own risk.

"Merry Christmas," Bonnie greeted the Slayer as she bounded up to her and gave her a big hug.

And she pulled away, all solemnity as she looked at the other woman and held onto her shoulders. "I am very glad," she said decisively, "That you didn't turn into a Buffcicle in the snowstorm."

Buffy approved of all hugs, and she couldn't help the grin that crossed her face at Bonnie's statement. Because really, that was exactly what could have happened.

"The feeling is very mutual," she laughed. "And oh! I have something for you."

"For me?" Bonnie questioned. And she glanced from side to side, as if someone else could have suddenly appeared behind her.

But no, it was just her.

"Great! What is it?"

She hovered over her bag for a moment, finish through until she found the box shape she was looking for, and handed it to her friend with a grin.

"Merry Christmas!"

"Merry Christmas!" Bonnie cheerfully replied and she perched on the edge of a table as she began opening the box.

As she did, a sprig of mistletoe appeared on the ceiling above her.

Inside the box was a this necklace -- a little fancy for the occasion, but Buffy tended to go with her gut on gifts, and this was no exception.

She didn't notice the mistletoe quite yet, though -- too intent on Bonnie's reaction to her gift.

Bonnie made a happy little chirp of a noise as she pulled out the necklace and held it up to the light to admire it.

"It's gorgeous," she gushed. And even though it didn't completely go with her navy blue dress, Bonnie immediately put it on around her neck. She was positive it would look fantastic against her skin and hair. "Thank you, I love it."

"Good!" Buffy grinned. "I'm glad! I saw it and I knew it was perfect." She was an instinctive gift giver. It was how she rolled.

And for the second time in as many minutes, Bonnie bounded over to Buffy and gave her a squeeze of a hug.

"I'm so glad I took the time to be your friend," she teased. "Since I'm getting pretty jewelry out of the deal."

She laughed, but returned the hug just as tightly. "I am good for that much, at least."

She pulled away to smile at Buffy.

"You're good for a lot. Thank you so much, Buffy. And Merry Christmas."

"Merry Christmas, Bonnie," she said with a nod.

Cordelia smiled when she saw Buffy arrive, making her way over to the tiny blonde.

"Do you need help with any of that?"

"Nope! I got it." Buffy grinned back, before shaking her head and handing over the box with the bottle of wine in it. "But this is for the party."

And then she went digging through her sack and produced a wrapped box. "And this is for you."

Cordelia grinned, taking the box of wine from her. "I'm sure we'll find good use for it."

Cordelia's face lit up at the wrapped box, taking it happily. "Oooh, I love presents!"
