The one about how much the people earn in a month is a bit deceptive though, as we have no idea if they're taking a lot of things into account such as the fact that there items probably do not cost anywhere near what they would cost in US and Cananda.
My friend's older brother lived in Chile for about a year a few years back and he said that whereas here to buy the highest quality wines you'd have to pay a bundle, there the most you'd have to pay for the same thing was the Chilean equivalent of $3.
And I don't think that's even factoring in the exchange rate factor as well.
