I'm feeling stressed.  It's that combination kind where you're just busy with a lot of little things at work and at home, and then future worries creep in to say that you will never find the apartment you want for the price you want in the place you want at the time you want ( Read more... )

I hear you about the worries. But I think you will be fine with all that because you're competent and neato. As for the sickness, I can recommend Advil PM or, alternatively, Alka-Selzter Morning Relief.

My diagnosis? There is a bad draft in that apartment, and I think it affects the energy for the worse. Plus, there are way too many life forms in the space, but there's nothing you can do about your family, for now. So if you're worried about all this crap in your life, rest assured you have choices, and you can either choose to worry about it, or not and, you can choose to do something about it, or not. Focus on the sunny side, and be happy you're not vomiting, and that you can kill a cold by WASHING YOUR HANDS ALL THE TIME, CHANGING YOUR PILLOWCASE, EATING PLENTY OF FRESH FRUITS AND VEGGIES (GARLIC AND PEPPERS HAVE A LOT OF REALLY GOOD VITAMIN C THAT YOUR BODY SYNTHESIZES REALLY WELL), AND DON'T TOUCH YOUR FACE (ESP. NOT AFTER GETTING OFF THE SUBWAY)

I love you Beth, and if you're not feeling better soon, I will take another week off work and come nurse you back to health.

Thanks, Bretters. I love you too, but i won't make you take another week off work. I think i just have the edge of the cold that everyone else has had, and yes, i am VERY thankful that i'm not puking. As to choices, i know all that, and i know that it will all work out in the end, but the means will require at least a little bit of stress. I can deal with that though.

DON'T YELL SO MUCH!

And, yes, i also agree about the draft, although at this point, i believe there is a negative energy lurking in that apartment that cannot be fully explained by a drafty window. It's like the sun can't get inside, and the entire place is wilting.

Sorry i didn't get to hang out too much, but it was good to see you. I hope you had a great trip! :)

Breathe. Eat as much raw garlic as you can. Breathe some more. In fact, five deep breaths right now.
