Scattered Snow Showers
I just saw the word snow in the 10-day weather forecast for my ZIP. -
and there will be mountains of food, and i can hardly wait.
For Thanksgiving dinner, I am making:- butternut squash lasagna with basil-bechamel sauce inside
- pumpkin pie (made with fresh pumpkin puree!)
- chocolate pecan pie with the most ridiculously butter-filled crust you've ever imagined (actually to the point of grossness, but i bet it will be good)
- Cornish game hens with cornbread stuffing

Chestnuts roasting
I have to admit that I was surprised at what a roasted chestnut really is like. Why did I think they would be like crunchy, toasty hazelnuts? I won't say gross, but definitely unexpected. -

Unfortunately, my program at UF didn't require me to take a language. I wanted to anyway, but it always threatened to ruin my day of no classes, so i never did. Still, i'd like to try to learn at least a little bit of a language, if only so that a future trip to Europe would be that much easier.

Since (regrettably) renewing with Sprint, I've often wondered why I'm such an idiot. Why would I spend $150 (+ $10 for a headphone converter thingy + $20 for a 2gb memory card) just so i could play music on my phone and drain its battery while using a crappy interface when, instead, for just about the same price, i could buy a shiny new iPod Nano ( Read more... ) -

After yesterday's grossest-hot-dog-in-the-city experience, I was excited with my plan to go try a masala dosa from the Dosa Man. Conveniently, this hero parks his dosa cart about 60 feet (i have no idea how inaccurate that is) from the law school building. winter finally started, but DST didn't end.
I don't know why, but i'm horribly sensitive to lack of sleep, and in this world, that is a very unfortunate thing. I didn't sleep well at all last night, and right now i just feel sort of like whining to nobody in particular about nothing i can actually think of to whine about ( Read more... ) -
