I'm one of those that waits to be called. I have a fear of msking phone calls.... well not quite but for some reason I'm fine caling people for work or whatever but as soon as I need to/want to call someone I know and care about I feel nervous! Thats why I write long sms and emails... I think I'm scared that I'll find nothing to talk about with the person and what that might mean! It makes no sense whatsoever and is no reflection on how much I care about someone its just another one of my rather irritating irrational quirks!

i think conrad suffers from that same problem.
he always prefers i call everyone, even the pizza place, even his own buddies to make plans. he just hates the phone.
it's the same with my friend jes - she is really really standoffish on the phone if you try to chat for more than three minutes, but is very warm in person. they are a strange invention in a way!
