First I want to say that I don't mean to be offensive to anyone, I'm just having a hard time understanding and if anything I think it's good that I can admit this

Even if society eased off gender roles, transexuality would still exist. Lets face it, girls will be girls, and boys will be boys. I guess I'm saying this because I've recently become a huge drag queen/ m to f transexual fan. It's weird, I think it's sort of sexy the way men dress like women and create their own look for women sometimes. For me, I see drag as a fashion thing, where a man is sick of mens fashion and loves the way women dress/look so much that they're willing to dress like them. And also, I think men have nicer legs (when shaved of course) and thus look fucking sweet in skirts. Like, to the point where I'd totally bang a drag queen, even if they surgically had tits. Just as long as the junk was still there. F to M I have trouble understanding I guess, but I guess if you really feel that you should have been born a man and you're willing to have a penis that doesn't really work so be it. I usually feel that F to M dont look as good pre or post op.
I'm not saying that guys shouldn't wear dresses or girls shouldn't put on fake facial hair and put on a tux, I'm saying that why can't they do all these things that are referred to as "gender fuck", be seen as who they want people to see them as but not feel like they need to change their body to achieve that. I don't care what people do to their bodies I think the option to do whatever you want to your body should be there just like abortion should always be legal for those who want to do it. I'm just worried about the implications for a man to change his body into a woman so that he can feel more feminine. I think that without gender roles any guy could feel as masculine or feminine as he wants to feel without going through extensive surgery. I guess my question is who are they doing the surgery for? Society, so that other people can see them the way they want to be seen or themselves because they feel more natural with breasts? I guess when I hear people wanting to change into the opposite gender due to their personality fitting

I dunno. You probably shouldn't be asking me these questions. you should probably ask a transexual. if you want I can give you sources to one.
"I guess my question is who are they doing the surgery for?"
I actually think the question of that answer varies. I think alot of people do it for themselves. Not society. Society will never look at a transexual as an equal, even if they get surgery. The point will always be that he or she used to be a woman or a man. I also think a persons view of the opposite gender is always, at a first thought, extreme. When I think of the word "man" I think something masculine. So when a F to M thinks of "man" they probably have the same mindset. At tragic as that may seem, thats who and how they are.
Like I said, I don't speak for them, if you want I can refer you to a drag queen and you can ask them.
Your thoughts are certainly not alone. I cannot speak on behalf of the trans community, but these are my thoughts just based on conversations and observances
