Circa 2000 -- I remember that the sib was still in elementary school -- we were pretty convinced that Rent was the Greatest Thing Ever. Both of us knew all the lyrics to all the songs, although we assigned ourselves the four leads with the fewest duets so that we could retain our characters of something while we sang along. Do you know what I was realised this morning? The Trio on Buffy is actually more badass than Voldemort, who is ostensibly the baddest wizard that ever did bad. As far as I can recall, in the main action of the series, he doesn't kill one major character (unless you are willing to accept "death by snake" as him doing the killing).
