Hey Everyone. Long time no post.  You can probably guess why.  Getting adjusted and looking for a job in a different country with a completely different culture is no easy task.  It's been worth it but I don't ever remember going through things that I've gone through here.  There's entirely too much to post as every week seems like some crazyness ( Read more... )

Hurrah! Good to hear from you sir!

Glad you're doing well out there. I thought of you a week ago when I ate my first, and possibly my last, thousand-year-old egg. The yellow goo was a little odd, but it was all delicious and jolly until WHAT THE FUCK is that black thing in the middle?

Have you done any research regarding the availability of Xbox Live in your area? It'd be a blast to have you on there- not just for the video game goodness, but also for the life updates exchanged between digital battles.

In any case, keep your posting up! I look forward to gobbling down more stories and observations.

Yeah. I don't think all Century eggs have that black thing in the middle. I've had two and I think one of them had that thing but I guess it's a crap shoot. I was with a Japanese friend in a Chinatown in Japan and she loved century eggs, including the thing in the middle. Eggs are really big here. There's an entire aisle in the grocery store that I go to dedicated to both fresh and preserved eggs of all shapes and sizes. And pretty much everyone that walks into that place comes out with at least one giant sack of eggs ( ... )
