Kicking you while you're down ....

Jul 18, 2009 17:21

The year began with a salary freeze and quickly evolved down from there with a broken car, a broken a/c, ted losing his job, ted's car breaking down, ted's dad passing away, my grandfather passing away, and now my dog has cancer.  Please.  Just make it all stop.

Man, I don't even know what to say to all that... But if you need to vent or go punch something, I'm here. I know you've been an ear for me when I've vented so I want to at least do the same for you.

*hugs*

Oh god. I got laid off Friday. Char keeps her job because I swung a deal with my general manager to keep her instead of me. My best friend who is a theater person and a catholic school teacher got popped on a confusion charge for a DUR in Colo (min 5 days in jail, loss of license and fine), test results say I may have tumors all over my thyroid (losing insurance because of my losing my job) and I just found out from a MRI that the uppermost and lower most parts of my spine are deteriorating (first I heard) and 1/2 of the people I know are unemployed. We are all on hard times ( ... )

Yeah, everyone I talk to seems to be going through some bad stuff now. From top to bottom.

But ...

You are absolutely right. Serenity. Everything will work itself out. It always does. It always will.

That said, I miss you and Char both very much and think of you often.

xoxo

I feel for ya Larry.........I lost my Aussie a few years ago early to cancer....You got to do what you can for them and try and remember you got to share their life.

You've been a good and caring dude and I am sure those who passed on were better for knowing you.

Chin up old chap.

Thanks. It's tough. He goes in to undergo surgery in a few days. They don't think it's spread. He seems fine and happy. Still has a healthy appetite. Doesn't seem to be having any pain. All good things.
