Congratulations!

Let me know if you need anything...

for instance, at this point I'm not likely to be using maternity clothes again... and we've got lots of summer weight newborn baby clothes that are also unlikely to be used again.....

Who's your midwife?

Wow! Amazing news. Congratulations!

If you need any baby stuff we have a ton and I highly recommend shopping at the Massachusetts Mother of Twins club sale (we are members of the founding chapter, but there are closer ones to you - don't know who good their sales are though). An amazing amount of stuff at cheap prices. Clothes, toys, furniture, carriers, strollers...

Interesting, I haven't heard of them before. What kind of organization is it?

the founding chapter anyway is... lsl January 27 2009, 23:42:21 UTC
It is a club for mothers (parents) of twins (or higher order multiples). They provide support (social, emotional, financial, clothes & specialized gear for premature babies) for mothers of twins. They do charitable events several times per year (gift baskets for Rosie's Place, Clothes/Gear/etc.. to Cradles to Crayons, blood drives, etc...).

They hold a sale twice per year to raise money for the club with any leftovers stuff donated. Anyone can sell at the sale, but twin club members pay less. And anyone can buy at the sale, but club members get in 30min early (which can make a big difference if you are looking for something specific).

If you are interested in going, we go just about every time and could bring you as a guest if you'd like to get in early. It costs $1 per person to get in.

Yay!! Congratulations!!!! I'm so happy that you are going to keep your baby surprising..I think there's something kind of magical (and, of course, natural) about not knowing much about the little guy or gal until it's born. And you know, people having been having babies in their homes without doctors or drugs for....well as long as people have existed. Good for you!

Thank you!

I confess that your hard-won white coat was among the (many) factors that made me hesitate to mention my hippie birth plans in a public forum... But I also realize that this was probably silliness on my part, as you're generally an open-minded person. It's odd the way that official title gives one pause, even when one should know better...
