I was going to ask where you got a stock of maternity clothes, but you answered that question.
I'll second what Keimel said, I'll bet you look fabu!
I do think there are limits to what how flattering maternity clothes can be. My mom still had all her maternity clothes from when she had me in the 60s. I know they were fashionable at the time, but I told her that she could throw them all out because you would never catch me dead in a mini skirt if I ever got pregnant. ;-)
there is something to be said for the pointing out that the belly is baby and not fat thing. also at least for me my regular clothes tend towards the "whatever is at the salvation army that fits and is not hideous" style. this is not at all fashionable or flattering on me but whatever i don't live to be a beauty queen. the few maternity things i bought were nothing special either
( ... )
Yeah, I'm with you on that. I'm a pretty pragmatic dresser most of the time myself; a lot of what I wear is second-hand, and none of it is expensive. And the maternity clothes I have now don't sound quite as lavish as what you're describing (those sound like a trip!), but they're definitely a cut or two above my usual.
And I've been sorting through the two bins of maternity clothes my sister gave me, I've been struck by not only how nice it all is (not surprising, given my sister's taste in clothes), but more than that, how much of it there is. I can't imagine spending so much to clothe myself for a period of maybe six months! But I'm definitely enjoying the treat of having so much new clothing at once.
