I really didn't like the book either... Also, Back Roads (think that is the title) is another one... read the description before reading is my only warning... it was so messed up... another Oprah Book... some I've absolutely loved and have read almost everything by that author... others I really didn't like at all...

I didn't mind Open House myself, but you're right, it's a light, romantic read.
