Last night I wild released book #1000! I'm so excited. Not sure if I'll do anything to celebrate, but I'm so happy... joined bookcrossing in early 2006 and I just released a thousand books. Not too bad! Woo hoo!

I'm glad I went to the bookcrossing meeting last night, as it was just me and another bookcrosser from Seattle. Turnout apparently has been low. provided that I can leave work on time (in 10 minutes) as we're eating leftovers. Chris will drop me off, as he doesn't care for the meetings much. I have only been to 1 meeting and 1 book event with my local bcers. Not sure how many people will be there... should be interesting...

On Sunday Chris and I will be doing a ship inspection of Holland America's Westerdam. Check in is from 9:45-10:15am and then we get on the ship and then have free time to inspect rooms, have lunch (buffet) and then check out the public rooms. Last week I went to a Fiji breakfast hosted by the tourism board by myself. My coworkers were going to go but bailed on me. So I went to a trade show and then had breakfast while watching a presentation on Fiji. At the end, they gave away some prizes. I won the grand prize. Yesterday I got my birthday gift from Chris. I got the 02 Breyer holiday foals (NIB, found them in the toy store in Spokane that always has cheap toys) and 5 boxes of books for me to register and release. He picked them up on Sat at yard sales. Saw the travel doctor today... got Tetanus, Hepatis A and Hepatis B... The Hep shots hurt going in, but it is the Tetanus that is the killer. My left arm is sore. I've been trying to move it, but it is sooo sore. Grr ( Read more... )
