Bad luck in Kyoto
Since leaving Tokyo: Hotel in Kyoto had no record of our reservation, my sister's shampoo spilled in her bag, ruining my makeup and getting shampoo in her contact case, my sister put her contacts in without knowing this and burned her eyeballs, my brother stepped on my sister's toe and managed to rip her toe nail off, my phone can't decide if it ( Read more... ) -
Thoughts from a Shinkansen
On the train to Kyoto right now. This is my first time on a Shinkansen (super speedy train in Japan). I have to say, it's pretty impressive, albeit a bit hectic and cramped without much space for suitcases compared to what I'm used to, but the view zipping by outside my window has been pretty soothing. Thoughts on a train to Tokyo
Well, I'm on my way to Tokyo to stay with a friend before a morning flight to Taipei, Taiwan. So before I leave the country again, I want to write about last weekend, while it's still somewhat fresh in my mind.
