Fic: Curtain Call (16/18)
Noah wakes up to with a throbbing pain in his head. He suddenly realized that his hands were tied up.
“Hey Noah’s awake.” Casey yelled to Luke.
“Noah?” Luke tried to turn his head round as far as he could. “AHHHHH” Luke yelled as the hot branding iron with the letter M on it touched his skin.
“Luke, Are you …..?”
“HI BOYYYYS” Maddie yelled cheerfully with a knife in his hand. “Oh Noah, I see your awake.” Maddie said after she walked over to him and sat on his lap. “Wow, this brings back so many memories doesn’t it?”
“A little.” Noah mumbled.
“You know when I first met you, I thought this could work. You’re a really nice guy we had a lot in common including our little bubby Luke. Although I didn’t know you two would turn into fuck buddies behind my back. Isn’t that right Luke? ”
Maddie hopped off of Noah and onto Luke’s lap. “Luke bubby, pal, friend what happened to us? Ever since Noah came between us we don’t even talk much anymore.”
Maddie started to graze his chin with the knife.
“You know I should thank you because you actually save me from the biggest mistake of my life. If I would have stayed in that relationship with his over protective psycho father I swear I would have killed myself. So, thank you for helping dodge a bullet there….”
“Maddie, Why are…..” Before Margo could finished interpreting, Maddie shoot her in the leg.
“DON’T YOU EVER EVER INTERUPT ME.” Maddie yelled at Margo.
“Know where was I? Yes, you know, you two are perfect for each other and you should seriously consider doing porn. When I took those photos of Luke and put them in Lance’s room. I really had to control myself. Maybe before I kill you, you two can give us a show. No?”
Maddie started to laugh hysterically.
“Then we have Casey.” Maddie hopped off Luke and onto Casey. “Of all the men I ever loved you were the one that I still cry for some nights. I told you things that I never to anyone else and what did you do. You fucked me and then you broke up with me. I wanted to stand by you thorough everything because I thought we had something special. ” Casey looked at Maddie’s watery eyes. “Just like that special thing you had with Alison right? Or was it Lucy!” Maddie showed the Casey the chopped head of Lucy then began to laugh hysterically as she threw it across the room. Casey looked angrily at Maddie once the realization came to him that she killed Alison. “I had so much funny killing her then watching you cry for her. It was the funniest thing I ever saw.”
“AH, let me out of her.” Casey gritted through his teeth.
“You know Margo your son talks too much. I’m going to fix that”
Maddie pointed the knife at Casey lips. “Open your month.” Maddie demanded but Casey refused.
“OPEN YOUR MOUTH!”
Casey finally opened his mouth Maddie cut off his tongue.
“AHHHHH” Casey cried.
“Maddie, why are you doing this?” Margo cried.
“Good question, you see. I left Oakdale to start a new life for myself. I went to college; got a house, met some nice people and I even found the man I always wanted. His name was Carl Wallis. He was kind, patience, and faithful so I thought. We did everything together and I thought I truly found my soul mate. He proposed to my last year and the wedding was about six months ago. We planned everything from the cake to my white wedding dress. I felt so happy, until my wedding day. The church looked beautiful that day and I was so nervous that I didn’t eat anything until I put on my wedding dress. From that moment, I knew I was ready to marry the man of my dreams, but…. ” Maddie was on the very of another mental breakdown. “He never showed up. ” Maddie stopped to recompose herself. “I cried for weeks. So one day, I went to look for him. And guess where I found him, with his pregnant ex-girlfriend. I was so mad I tore everything up in my house and cried ten times more. In never felt so hurt in my life. A few weeks later Henry came to check on me. I asked how everyone was doing and that’s when he showed me some articles he saved.”
Maddie pulled out some articles from her pockets. “Dusty is a father to healthy baby boy. Noah and Luke are getting married. Casey and Alison engaged. Carly delivers a healthy baby boy, Noah’s first feature film. Casey graduates from Law school. Alison graduates from the state of Illinois school of medicine. Katie and Chris welcome a baby girl to the family. Everyone was moving on with their FUCKING lives so WHERE’S MY HAPPY ENDING HUH? TELL ME!” Maddie yelled and threw the articles onto the ground.
The room felt silent as no one tied up knew what to say to Maddie.
“I don’t know what came over me the day I read those articles but it just reminded me how I have been mistreated my whole life. NO ONE GAVE A DAME ABOUT ME IN THAT TOWN. I WAS ALWAYS CASTED TO SIDE LIKE SOME RED HEADED STEP CHILD, but as you can see not anymore. I wanted the town that treated me like crap to feel what I feel, so I planned this little gathering to kill all of you because being in Oakdale with you all made me want to die.”
Maddie stopped for a minute and walked around the room.
“So, how do you want to do this? Do you guys want to die by Guns, knives, a big fire? Does anyone want die first?” Maddie asked.
“Well, I knew you guys were going to be all…shy on me so I created this die with all your names on it so whoever name it lands on gets to die first. Doesn’t that sound like fun?”
Maddie threw the die in the air and watch it fall to the floor beside Noah. Noah was in sheer panic when the name landed on Luke.
“Sorry Luke, but at least you get to be with Holden now.” Maddie said and pointed the gun his direction. Maddie was about to pull the trigger when Lily pushed her to the ground.
“BITCH YOU SHOULD BE LUCKY I SPEARED YOU. NOW I’M GOING TO KILL YOU JUST LIKE I DID HOLDEN!” Maddie and Lily begin to tussle on the ground when Lily managed to get the upper hand and kick Maddie away.
Lily scrambled to get to Luke and untie him.
Maddie grabbed her large sword and charge for Lily. Lily quickly dodged the swing of the sword. Luke quickly tried to work his way out of the knot Maddie had tied.
Luke jumped out of his chair and untied Noah and Casey.
Maddie had set her eyes on killing lily when she saw Luke had gotten out of his seat. Maddie raced over to him and cut him in his back.
“AHH!” Luke yelled trying to avoid more of Maddie swings.
Noah scrambled to get everyone else untied. Once everyone was free, he raced over to Maddie pushing her away from Luke.
Maddie swiftly bounced back from the attack and grabbed a nearby gun.
Noah was about to turn around when Maddie shot him in the chest.
“NOOOOO!” Luke screamed. Noah fell to the floor from the shock of the shot.
Casey tackled Maddie to the ground and the gun slid across the floor.
Luke ran over to Noah not knowing what he could do to save him. “I’m fine. go help Casey.” Noah urged Luke
Lily and Luke tried to help Casey with Maddie and to all their surprise she was a lot stronger than they thought.
“GET OFF OF ME!” Maddie yelled kicking Casey off of her.
Noah grabbed the gun that was beside him and stood up as Maddie stood up with her knife.
Maddie was about to charge for Noah when Noah didn’t waste any time before he pulled the trigger.
The bullet hit Maddie in the chest and she fell to the floor.
Noah put gun down and walked over to a nearby chair.
Everyone took a deep sigh of relief that the torturing had finally come to an end.
“Hey” Luke said checking on Noah.
“Hey yourself” Noah smiled lightly. “Is your back okay?”
“it’s fine. What about you?”
“It stings but it will be fine.”
Lily heard to noise that got her attention.
“Listen!” Lily yelled.
The room fell quiet and everyone heard two noises. The first one was a knock at the door.
“HELLLLOO” A rescuer yelled from outside.
“OH, I’ll go get it.” Lily went to answer the door.
Luke, Noah, and Casey listen closely for the other sound. It sounded like a ticking noise coming from where Maddie’s bag was.
Luke walked over to Maddie and noticed a bag sitting beside her.
Luke opened the bag he gasped at what was inside.
“SHIT! IT’S A BOMB!” Luke yelled.
“What!?” Noah yelled and wobbled over to him.
Casey and Noah looked at the bomb and saw that they only had 10 seconds left.
Luke noticed the wires coming out of the bomb and grabbed the knife out of Maddie’s bag.
Luke heart was pounding so fast and it was making his chest hurt. Luke picked a random wire and looked at Noah.
“I love you.”
Luke said to Noah and quickly cut the wire.
Noah closed his eyes and decided to let what will be, be.
