Some of your things I agree with and most I dont. I dont think it is bad to follow a "trend" though if you really like it cause you like the way it sounds. I dont like stuff just cause other people do, but if it is good and easy to listen too then I dont care if they are "trendy". I guess you are just lucky you didnt add NIN to that list or I would find you and like beat you up or something to that effect/affect. I am not sure of the difference of those two words anymore, I cant believe I even graduated high school with decent grades. I dont remember high school even. I barely remember anything that happened before my first daughter, but I do remember you;-)

I agree with you Sarah. I think that disliking something just because it is mainstream is just as bad as liking somthing just because it is mainstream. You should just like what you like because you like it and try not to let anything influence you and your opinions.

I find it better to listen to a band after the hype and/or trend has passed then you can really see their true talent if there is any. Like Oasis or Red Hot Chili Peppers. I mean how many people only like them because of "wonderwall" or "under the bridge"? They have so much more to offer than just those songs.
