You should be. Dazzland it is. Damn, I love the boys at this age. It makes me want to write more fic!

Yeah, me too. I still love John, except when I hate John, and then I'm actually loving him. He's such a big influence, and I like it when he casts a long shadow.

Please do write more John! Nobody strikes the balance between protective dad and obsessive bastard as well as you do. Dazzleland and then Fire in the Hole were pitch-perfect in this respect.

I realized this ep (and the flashbacks in the 'then' section) how much I miss him. *sigh*

Hee! You should definitely be flattered. I totally thought of your fic.

It was kinda thrilling, actually. I mean, I know that the story of 'going back to your old high school' is as old as, say, Welcome Back Kotter, but still. It was nice to see.

HA. I was on my way to come and ask you if they'd approached you with any sort of waiver. WOW.

It was fun to watch -- and to realize the storytelling limitations of an hour-long program, LOL.

That's it! I was watching this ep thinking 'I'm sure I've read something quite similar.' I think Dazzleland could be it.

yeah, I guess high school stories are quite similar, but there were bits (goofy kid friend, knife in knapsack, English teacher recognizing Sam's potential, Sam taking on a bully, etc.) that were pretty close to what was in Dazzleland.

I'm with you aussiemel1, that epi so reminded me of your Dazzleland!

There were similarities, for sure. But I just found it all so thrilling.

I was thinking of your story the entire time I watching that. You should obviously be writing television scripts.

Nah, I'm a long fiction girl. I couldn't write a script to save my life, LOL.
