Unemployed or Unprepared? The Unemployment News Not Being Reported

The stock markets have been raising Cain about the rise in, or lack of reduction of, the unemployment rate in the USA. We are sitting at roughly 8.5% unemployment. Most analysts agree that if you add in the people who are underemployed or just plain not looking anymore for various reasons, the true unemployment rate is closer to 10%. In some places

Well, that makes two things I quite agree with this administration about (someone check the weather report for Hell). There are times I want to slap some Republicans, between not funding this while funding the "Senate Launch System", I'm decidedly unhappy with them. As one who designs and works with the shop, I can appreciate just how important this training is.

PS. I should note that my high school had, at the time, an excellent shop program and the General Metal Shop course I took has been of great use to me ever since as I can appreciate the problems with actually fabricating parts and know enough to go talk to those who will in order to make certain I'm not doing something that causes un-necessary headaches for them. -grin- I'll take pride that I've won the respect and friendship of the ME's and shop 'most every place I've worked.
