To all of my computer savvy friends...

Does anyone have any kind of idea how much a computer programmer would charge to put together a web-site? I need to get an idea of prices for a group project I'm working on....Any input would be appreciated. Thanks!

I'd ask around Jaycees first if you haven't already. Depends on the format you want and who you're paying for space. You have to 1. buy the domain name like www.jaycees.org... ie., then you have to get the storage space for it, which you also pay for, and then someone to set it up. You may be able to get an all in one package. Some places give you the basics for the web page and anyone with basic know-how of html or frontpage can edit it with an ftp program. try bulletproof ftp, i.e. I like them the best. But as far as pricing, I have no idea cause I don't know if you have the space and room for it and what you're looking for.

It's FOR the Jaycees that I'm asking, so it won't do me much good to ask them, they don't know.
We already purchased the domain name and space. Just need prices on how much it costs to have someone set up the site.

You might want to look into it via yahoo. Or check with who you purchased the domain through, or the space. Many of them have good packages with like a basic page that you add on to. I mentinoed you asking people in the Jaycees cause I didn't know how many people were in it. Sometimes people have hidden talents which is why I mentioned it. Good luck!

note FN, he is a programmer I.T. dude, he'd have a good ball park idea on hourly rates.
