oh i'm so sorry.

i wish i could give you a big hug, or tell you how one goes about preparing. i don't think you can and that's a testiment of how much she means to you. probably nothing will ever feel the same, it won't always feel terrible, but it will be different, but everything around you will have been touched by her influence in some way, which makes everything all that much more special.

i'm keeping you both in my thoughts.

E..I'm so sorry to hear about this. I often hear people talk about death being inevitable, but that doesn't stop my brain from telling me it shouldn't be, that somehow the people I love will be spared from death, and me from their loss. My father has been gone for 4 years soon, and I still would not be ready to go through another loss.

I wish the best for you and your mother, for both of you to find the courage and the love to go through this together, and for each of you to find all the things in life that should be held onto so tightly that when at last it is time to let go of them, they've left an impression that will never fade.

You have my love, and you are in my thoughts.

D.

I miss you too :)
I hope your fiancee is supportive throughout this rough time, but remember, you're a strong lady when you make up your mind to be.

I have not yet had to deal with such a loss so I don't really have advice. I don't think you can really prepare yourself for such a thing. It is nice that you have advance notice and therefore you know that you will not waste any of the precious time you have left. I would like to applaud your mother for making her decision... such a difficult one for her to face.
