A Strange realisation

I had a strange and rather sad realisation last night laying in bed, i was thinking about something cant quite reemeber what but it brought on this thought in my head about the word or abreviation of etc, since it is an abreviation then i think the full word is ecetera or something to the like, if so what does it mean exactly, this genuinly kept me

i know et cetera is latin but i don't know exactly what it means
