Marybeth managed to slip away from her father at some point and go 'sploring. Apparently she had inherited his genes, since she ended up at Zoe's office.

"Hi!" she waved, entering the room and smiling at the pretty lady behind the desk. She noticed the kids coloring and waved to them.

"Zoe?" Marybeth said. "That's like daddy's car!"

Cameron's eyes widened as he realised how that could sound. "I don't know anything about that," he stammered quickly, flustering.

Zoe did her best not to laugh, and looked between the two of them, deciding that Marybeth would be the better one to ask. "Your Daddy's car is named Zoe?"

Having the feeling that whatever was going to come out of Marybeth's mouth wasn't going to be in his favour, Cameron quickly covered her mouth with his hand.

"I think she said Roe," he nodded.

Marybeth shook her head at Cameron's remark.

Then she bit his hand so he'd move it.

"It's Zoe!" she said to Zoe. "Just like you."

"Ow! D-" he flailed and shook his head. "She bit me!"

Zoe had to cover her mouth now to try to stifle her laughter. "Little girls do that. It's an inherent skill," she explained. "Would you like to explain why your car and I have the same name? Or shall we save that conversation for another time?"

Cameron flailed again and as he didn't want to flail flail in front of Zoe as that would just make him look more guilty, he picked Marybeth up.

"That's it. I'm talking to your mom about your manners," he informed her and pretended to try and bite her as he tickled her sides. Yep, totally trying to distract Zoe and hope she'd forget the question.

That just might have been the cutest thing Zoe had seen all day, and she was more than happy to accept the distraction. "Awwww. It looks like you're starting to get this parenting thing down pretty well."

Marybeth was giggling. "My daddy is the best daddy in the whole world," she informed Zoe. "He let me have pop-tarts for breakfast!"

Because when you were five, you had priorities.

"Oooh, he really is a good daddy," Zoe agreed. "I'm not terribly surprised."

Cameron was definitely blushing now. "She wasn't supposed to tell about the poptarts, though," he said rather lamely. At least she was off the crush subject.

"Oops, I forgot, Daddy," Marybeth said. "Sorry."
