Goodbye Trav...

I just met Trav for the first time last week during SXSW, but we had talked online a few times & he was a really nice guy. His band Avenue Rose played the Wild Weekend festival Mike & I threw last summer & he was currently playing guitar with the Cute Lepers. His death has really bummed me out & it hurts me knowing that so many of my friends are in

He was on tour with The Cute Lepers, who were touring with The Queers & Poison Arrows (basically The Heart-attacks new band). Apparently from what I understand from Joe Queer's blog about it, some of the guys in the Poison Arrows were doing lots of drugs, methadone & whatnot. Travis was hanging out with them, took methadone & mixed it with beer.. he went to sleep Friday nite & never work up. I found out that one of my friends was sleeping next to him when he died... how horrible is that? Lots of people are blaming the Poison Arrows for this, (one of the guys in their band OD'd that night too, but didn't die) but I don't think anyone can be blamed for it since ultimately it was Travis's bad choice.. it just sucks he was around it & got mixed up in the wrong stuff :(
