Heh, I like the idea of Anzacs with sultanas. Might be a bit politically incorrect, though - the world's major exporter of sultanas being Turkey. :S

i live in a state that grows many grapes so i face that dilemna at the shops regularly. I am very careful to buy local sultanas - they are so much nicer anyways, plumper and juicier. Mainly i want to support local jobs, i have nothing against Turkey per se.

Neither do I. I just thought it was funny, given that the name ANZAC is most strongly associated with the attempted invasion of Turkey at Gallipoli.

Interesting point, although Turkey and Australia are allies now. I went to Gallipoli a few years back and the Turkish guide ( a history professor) spoke of how much the Turkish people loved Australians because of the humanitarian way the ANZACS behaved during WW1.
