is it wrong to put a friend out of his misery in order to save what little honor he still has left? im talking a fast car ride off a cliff into the pacific ocean in the name of true friendship. how can someone be so blind to the life he could be having? how can someone be so blind to the friends they could have and the memories they let go

I know what position you're in, I know how you feel. I had a friend once, a true friend, a person in my life who had been there literally my entire life...that person is gone though. I won't say they are dead to me, but they are definately in a comatose state. I wish I could say that I laugh it off every time my phone rings at midnight and I see the number and I pick it up hoping that this time it will be a clear minded and sober person, that person I love with all my heart as my brother, my real brother i was raised with. I wish I could say I was man enough to turn the phone off when it rings and tell myself "get a life you jerk and stop coming back into mine when it suits you", but I always pick up, I always listen, and I always say I love you at the end. I say it partly because i do, and partly because I fear/hope it will be my last chance. I know how you feel old friend, and I wish I could say I didn't care...

I as well know where you are comming from. The guys I grew up with are now the exact opposite of everything we envisioned ourselves growing up to be, and I want to beat the shit out of them for it, but unfortunately there's absolutely nothing I can do.
