you seem to be tapping into a bit of the zeitgeist. my friend radven recently made a similar posti've also seen a lot of my time that i had previously put into LJ go to facebook over the last couple of years. this was do to a couple of different factors ( ... )

I think that Facebook has value. For example, it is how I have regualr contact with my family. But yeah, it doesn't serve the same function at all. If I had to choose only one, though, I'd stay here. Here is better for *me*.

i have a problem though. i dont know the rules so far about double posting and i feel crazytimes trying to figure it out. when it was just lj i didnt have to worry. now with two places to be awesome on the facebook people dont realize that the lj are like OK WE ALREADY SAW THISSSS

If I'm going to copy a FB update over here, I usually take a minute and add to it. Some things are one-liners and there is nothing to add, but most things are more 'conversational' than fb status update limits allow.

Also, I filter myself on fb a LOT. So generally, I have more to say here anyway.

Oh, the filtering. I used to constantly make LJ posts in my head, but now I'm constantly thinking up FB status updates. Problem is, the things I think are more truthful and expletive laden than is appropriate given the number of family members and "real life" people I'm friends with there.
