Yesterday I joined queermail and met some really lovely, awesome ladies.  I've spoken with a couple, been helped profoundly by one, and am still trying to find time to sit down and talk to the others.  Hopefully I'll be able to start up snail mail with those interested.  Either way, I feel blessed...and I feel oddly comfortable and at home.  I go through

I feel exactly the same way you do by joining queermail. I feel blessed to have already met a few great girls. And when August comes, I would love to start up snail mail with you!

And you know, time and again I do have this feeling that some things actually do happen for a reason, whether it be positive or negative. The thrilling aspect is that things could turn out for the better in bad situations.

And, not only can it *definitely* turn out for the better in bad situations, I'd say that's more often the rule. I've come to see bad situations as the rough spots in between periods of joy...and usually to move to something we really want, the moving hurts...and those are the bad times. I know for me change is always hard...but I think everything - *everything* - happens for a reason. Your life is definitely no different...I'm totally convinced of that. ^.^

Thank you! And yeah I totally believe that...I personally think that the only constant is our own wishes, intentions, and mindsets. I find that incredibly empowering. :-)

i really love the concept of 'wyrd', i live my life thinking like that -- that everything has meaning and can be serendipitous. everything you've said here is really lovely! i'm so glad, for all of us, that queermail was featured on the front page;; i get the sense that everyone has just, clicked, really well o:

Meeting all of you was significant in some way, although it could be years before all the events play out that lead out of meeting you or joining a particular LJ group. One of you might tell me just the right thing I need to hear to inspire me to finish my novel, get published, and have everyone enjoy my work. Or another one of you might inspire me to make one tiny decision that could lead down a path with a whole bunch of other decisions that lead me to move overseas for the rest of my life. The possibilities really are endless, and it all starts with one intention, somewhere along the line...
