I'm so glad you friended me and I got the chance to read this entry in the process of friending you. I so related to it. After I returned from the Philippines working as a women's development officer, I set to work as a secretary for a factory selling chemicals and cleaning products. Getting in touch with your materialistic roots indeed! Your time in Mindanao sounds so fun. How did you make the shift from teacher to development worker with education focus? I can see myself doing the same thing when the kids are a bit grown up.

Everyone wrote such insightful comments to the post, and I was myself enthralled by your story. But, I could only seem to concentrate on the fact that you got a marriage proposal for FOUR men all at once! Not four men who all happened to ask at the same time, but for four men to wed you as a group. And you turned this down?!

It's hard enough for me to find ONE woman who will look at me twice let alone four without inspiring a major legal problem. Hahahahahaha.
